LFP Electrode Production Team PositionTesla's LFP Electrode Production Team is seeking highly motivated individuals to tackle manufacturing of a challenging new process. You will be working alongside Engineers, Maintenance, Quality, and Training to develop an advanced new process and be among the first individuals to work in a new cell manufacturing factory within Tesla. This fast-paced team is the perfect environment if you are interested in developing multiple skills and having an immediate impact on the future of energy. You will spend a significant amount of time training, troubleshooting, and driving performance.ResponsibilitiesMonitor and adjust the Jelly roll creation process on the Winding production line, including parameter adjustments to maintain the process within defined specificationsComplete standard work process and follow work instructions, procedures, and rotate as requiredDemonstrate flexibility as needed by the businessEscalate technical and process issues to the appropriate support groups and leadersFollow safety guidelines and procedures and demonstrate a high level of professionalismMaintain exemplary attendance and punctuality to scheduled shiftsRequirementsManufacturing/industrial experience, 3-5 years preferredExperience operating Winding lines, requiring highly skilled work in monitoring and adjusting Material alignment and qualityExperience with operating and troubleshooting automated/semi-automated manufacturing equipment, basic mechanical troubleshooting preferredDemonstrate ability to analyze problems and error conditions, identify root causes, and implement viable long-term solutions, Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles are preferred, but not requiredCommand of the English language, both written and verbal with ability to understand and record maintenance procedures, shift pass downsComfortable with frequent change of direction, dynamic work environment and passion to perform time-sensitive analysis under pressureDemonstrated ability to be a self-driven contributor with limited supervisionEssential Physical DemandsAble to perform assembly work and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods of time, up to 12 hours/dayAble to execute tasks within required cycle time, quickly and accurately during new hire training and maintaining ability throughout employment.Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50 lbs., climb and descend a 10" step, and ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairsAbility to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrainStoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist and crawl for extended periods of time, including up to 12 hours/dayExposures to hazardous materials used and ability to follow waste handling/disposal proceduresAbility to find issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearingWearing Personal Protective Equipment for up to 12 hours per day, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, half-faced respirators, gloves, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
