Job description
Summary/Objective
nThe Window/Glass Technician diagnoses and performs glass repairs on vehicles with efficiency, accuracy, and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer/factory standards.
nEssential Functions
nnnAccurately performs the necessary steps to repair and replace auto glass components to maintain vehicle safety standards
n
nnProvides excellent customer service
n
nnEnsures customer vehicles are kept clean during the repair process
n
nnInspects damage, troubleshoots, and tests vehicle to determine required or recommended repairs
n
nnAccurately diagnose malfunctions or damage and perform the necessary repairs for them
n
nnSelect appropriate tools, safety equipment, and parts according to job requirements
n
nnInstall replacement glass in vehicles
n
nnObtain windshields or windows for specific automobile makes and models from stock and examine them for defects prior to installation
n
nnReinstall all vehicle parts that may have been removed prior to glass replacement or repair
n
nnMaintain a clean, efficient work area and assist in keeping the shop neat and organized
n
nnDocuments all work performed and recommended on the repair order in accordance with operating procedures
n
nnSafely and professionally operate a company fleet vehicle to and from customer locations throughout the workday
n
nnFulfills all physical requirements of the job
n
nnExhibits self-motivation with organizational and time management abilities
n
nnAbility to work independently with minimal supervision
n
nnAble to work and collaborate effectively with a team of peers as well as leadership
n
nnUnderstand the terminology of the automobile business and keep abreast of technology changes
n
nnFollows all attendance and punctuality standards with adherence to timekeeping standards; Employees are required to record the beginning and ending times of any shift, break or departure from work for personal reasons
n
nnFollows the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct
n
nnUnderstands and follows all work rules and procedures and follows lawful directions from Supervisors
n
nnUpholds the company's non-disclosure and confidentiality policies and agreements
n
nnMaintains a professional appearance in accordance with company policy
n
nnAttends pertinent training on request
n
nnAttends company meetings as required
n
