Job Overview
We are searching for a fellowship‑trained vitreoretinal surgeon to join our retina practice in Spencer, Iowa. This partnership track position will fill the role of a senior retina specialist who will soon retire.
Responsibilities
Conduct full retinal clinics, including clinical evaluation and management of retinal diseases.
Perform intravitreal injections and surgical cases, contributing to a volume of approximately 9,000 injections and 225 surgical cases annually.
Maintain and strengthen referral relationships with affiliated healthcare organizations.
Participate in clinical trials and educational activities as part of the practice’s established retina fellowship program.
Qualifications
Board‑certified ophthalmology with a fellowship in vitreoretinal surgery.
Eligible for an unrestricted medical license in the state of Iowa.
Strong surgical interest and proven surgical skills.
Demonstrated ability to achieve goals through hard work and quality decision making.
