Job description
Heartland Women's Healthcare is currently seeking a Women's Health Nurse Practitioner to join our OB/GYN practice in Shiloh, Illinois location. Our Shiloh location services a high volume of patients from both Southern Illinois and Missouri. In addition, our midwifery program offers a Centering Group Prenatal Care program.
nJob Responsibilities:
nnExamining and monitoring pregnant women.
nAssessing care requirements and writing care plans for patients.
nCarrying out screening tests.
nProviding information, emotional support, and reassurance to patients as needed.
nMonitoring and recording patient vital signs.
nCaring for and assisting women during labor.
nMonitoring and administering medication, injections, and intravenous infusions during labor
nMonitoring the fetus during labor.
nAdvising about and supporting parents in the daily care of their newborn babies.
nHelping parents to cope with miscarriage, termination, stillbirth and neonatal death.
nEnsure all patient records are up to date.
nIdentifying high-risk pregnancies.
n nQualifications:
nnActive license as a Registered Nurse and Certified Nurse Midwife
nCertification by the American Midwifery Certification Board
nActive DEA Number
n2+ years of experience working as a Nurse Midwife or as a Labor and Delivery Nurse
