Work Study Grounds Maintenance AssistantThe Grounds Maintenance Assistant position will assist with the day to day activities involved in grounds maintenance including but not limited to: sweeping, raking, weeding, picking up litter, weed whacking, and other duties as assigned. Please note: This position requires driving and therefore must comply with all University Vehicle Policies and Procedures.Requirements: Must be a Bridgewater State University undergraduate student registered for a minimum of six credits for the Fall 2026 semester. Must have Work Study award in your financial aid package. Must be (18) years of age or older. Must hold a current and valid driver's license and meet all requirements to operate a motor vehicle in the state of Massachusetts. Must have held a motor vehicle operator's license for one year. Must have a reputable and clean driving record to be considered for the position. Must complete driver training provided by the University, to include pre-trip/post-trip inspection of the vehicle, defensive driver training, proper vehicle operating procedures, and review of accident/incident procedures.Preferred Qualifications - Knowledge and skill in landscaping and landscaping tools helpful, but not required.Physical Demands - May work in extreme heat or cold temperatures.Special Conditions for Eligibility - Please be aware that employment at Bridgewater State University is contingent upon completion of a successful background check.
