Position Title - Work Study - TRIO Programs
Purpose or role of this position at Morehouse - The Trio Programs Work-Study Student Assistant will assist in managing student files, data entry, and maintaining compliance documentation
Duties and Responsibilities - Assist with general office duties including filing, photocopying, answering phones, and maintaining recordsSupport data entry into Blumen or other TRIO database systems for student attendance, contact logs, and workshop evaluationsHelp prepare materials for student workshops, college tours, tutoring sessions, and Saturday academiesAssist staff in organizing and supervising student activities during the academic year or summer program

Monday - 9am - 5pm, Tuesday - 9am - 5pm, Wednesday - 9am - 5pm, Thursday - 9am - 5pm, Friday - 9am - 5pm
General Qualifications - Must be eligible for Federal Work-StudyMust be in good academic standing at the college/universityStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work independently and follow directionsInterest in education, social services, or youth development is preferred
Specific Qualifications - Basic understanding of office proceduresFamiliarity with or willingness to learn federal TRIO program regulations and objectivesKnowledge of or interest in college access and success initiatives for first-generation, income-eligible students.Strong written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms)Accurate data entry and attention to detailStrong organizational and time management skillsCustomer service and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, families, and staffAbility to assist with event logistics and workshop coordination
