Workers Compensation Paralegal/Legal AssistantOur client is seeking a Workers Compensation Paralegal/Legal Assistant. The ideal applicant would have 5+ years of workers' compensation legal assistant and/or paralegal experience in Florida.Requirements:Legal assistant/paralegal must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.Advantage if you have working knowledge of FILEVINE or a similar case management system.This candidate must be eager to work with very busy attorneys, be self-motivated, and have a great attitude.Ability to handle high volume practice.Only experienced work comp will be considered.Paralegal: 5 years (Required)Work Location: In personEssential Duties And Responsibilities:Preparation of pleadings including, but not limited to, motions, subpoenas, notices, hearings, and requests for production.Coordination/scheduling of meetings, hearings, appointments, and depositions.Managing deadlines, preparing attorneys for appointments.Drafting and composing typing routine correspondence, reading and routing of incoming mail, taking calls from clients, attorneys, adjusters, J.A.'s, opposing counsel, etc.Excellent organizational, secretarial and clerical skills (telephone & computer) required.Experience with FILEVINE or similar programs preferred.Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.Ability to write simple correspondence. Bi-lingual (Spanish) is preferred, however not required.Organized, self-motivated, with the ability to work independently with a great attitude.Good communication and customer service skills (must be professional and courteous).Work Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:45 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. with a 1-hour break for lunch.Benefits:401(k)Dental insuranceHealth insurancePaid time offVision insurance
