Talascend is currently seeking a Workforce Coordinator for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan.
Overview
The Workforce Coordinator will manage staffing activities and coordinate manpower needs within a high-pressure environment, supporting project planning, onboarding, and operational responsibilities in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
Assist in administering the toolbox program and liaise with staffing partners on toolbox management.
Support the contract hiring process, including scheduling interviews, routing, and follow-up.
Create contractor jobs within the vendor management system and communicate with staffing partners.
Facilitate operations orientation and test proctoring for new hires.
Follow up on contract notes and statuses within contractor systems.
Assist with planning, organizing, and staffing projects, including weekend support and retrofits.
Update presentations and internal Excel documents as needed.
Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of automotive industry experience.
Minimum of 2 years of coordination experience.
Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
Strong written and communication skills.
Ability to remain detail oriented while balancing numerous tasks.
Preferred Qualifications Associates degree or higher education.
Minimum of 5 years of automotive industry experience.
Minimum of 5 years of coordination experience.
Workforce and contract staffing experience.
Ability to excel with tight deadlines.
Ability to understand company operations and employee needs to support the company's mission.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, including listening and questioning abilities.
