Job description
Glen Cove Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation has a Full-time opportunity for an experienced Wound Care RN.
This position requires an organized, detail-oriented individual with knowledge of prevention and treatment of wounds and the leadership qualities to supervise wound care.
The ideal candidate will be professional, dependable and self-motivated.
Customary Duties:
Responsible for management of preventative wound program and wound treatment programs
Ensures accuracy in documentation and information provided to physicians, residents and their responsible parties
Complete the weekly wound analysis report.
Provides patient, family and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies.
Is a resource person for physicians wound team and clinical staff.
Conduct wound rounds weekly and provide report to the Director of Nursing

Requirements
Registered Nursing in New York – 3-5 years’ experience
Wound Certification is preferred but not required.
Minimum of 1-year experience in Wound Care at a SNF
Basic knowledge regarding the prevention and treatment of pressure ulcers, arterial, venous and diabetic wounds as well as other wounds such as surgical wounds
Organized and detail-oriented
Flexible and dependable
Able to work independently & efficiently
Familiar with Electronic Medical Records (Sigma Care)
Additionally is able to perform general nursing duties in all departments with adequate supervision.
Participates in the performance improvement plan of the organization.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $58.00-$60.00 per hour
