About This Role
The Wound Ostomy Continence role involves providing specialized care and interventions for patients with ostomies, draining wounds, and related skin issues. This position is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about patient education and care management.

What You’ll Do
Provide follow-up and interventions to patients diagnosed with ostomies, draining wounds, fistulae, or skin breakdown.
Counsel individuals anticipating surgery that may result in the creation of a stoma.
Provide individualized instruction for patients with an abdominal stoma for stool or urine diversion.
Assess and make treatment recommendations for skin breakdown conditions.
Assist patients through the continuum of care for management of related issues.
Evaluate new and currently used products for ostomy, continence, and wound care.
Make recommendations to patients for obtaining related products.
Assess individual patient needs and goals.
Provide educational programs on ostomy/wound care management and self-care education.
Conduct continuing educational programs for physicians and nursing personnel.
Requirements
Education:
Associate's Degree (ADN) required
Experience:
Experienced level required
Licenses & Certifications:
Current RN License in California
