nCompensation: $36.05-$45.67 per hour

nWe are seeking a Wound Program Coordinator to join a collaborative rehabilitation healthcare team in Augusta, Georgia . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced wound care professional who enjoys combining hands-on patient care with program development, clinical education, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.

nYou'll have the opportunity to help guide wound care practices throughout the hospital while developing meaningful relationships with patients and their families throughout the recovery process.

n nWhat You'll Do

nAs the Wound Program Coordinator, you'll oversee and help advance wound care services while ensuring compliance with physician orders, clinical standards, and regulatory requirements.

nResponsibilities include:

nnnOversee and develop hospital wound care services in accordance with regulatory standards and physician orders

n

nnCollaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other clinical team members regarding wound care treatments and best practices

n

nnServe as a clinical resource for staff regarding wound assessment, treatment, prevention, and management

n

nnLead wound care education and training for hospital staff

n

nnEducate patients and family members regarding wounds, treatment plans, prevention, and ongoing care

n

nnRemain current on evolving wound care techniques, treatments, and clinical advancements

n

nnParticipate in continuing wound care education through seminars and professional organizations

n

nnProvide direct patient care when needed

n

nnBuild meaningful relationships with patients by understanding their physical, mental, and emotional needs throughout recovery

n

nnSupport positive patient outcomes and celebrate milestones throughout the recovery journey

n

n nWhat We're Looking For

nLicensure & Certification

nnnCurrent RN, Physical Therapist (PT), or Occupational Therapist (OT) license required for an acute rehabilitation hospital

n

nnRN license required for a long-term acute care hospital

n

nnCurrent CPR certification required

n

n nExperience & Education

nnnMinimum of one year of wound care experience required

n

nnOngoing wound care education through seminars and/or professional organizations required

n

nnStrong knowledge of wound care practices, treatments, and clinical standards

n

n nSkills

nnnExcellent communication and interpersonal skills

n

nnStrong clinical decision-making abilities

n

nnAbility to work independently and autonomously

n

nnComfortable educating clinical staff, patients, and families

n

nnCollaborative approach to multidisciplinary patient care
