Role Overview
This position involves performing diagnostic radiology procedures, including body mechanics and patient movement, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The role includes operating equipment, developing films, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties.
This position involves performing diagnostic radiology procedures, including body mechanics and patient movement, utilizing knowledge of anatomy and physiology. The role includes operating equipment, developing films, preparing exam rooms, and assisting with Medical Assistant duties.
Key Responsibilities
Greet patients and communicate wait times effectively
Assist with patient transfers and procedures under provider supervision
Obtain and document vital signs, medical history, medications, and allergies
Prepare patients for radiologic exams, ensuring safety and proper technique
Perform quality control checks on equipment and report malfunctions
Follow documentation protocols and complete required patient visit records
Maintain current licensure and certification, and enhance diagnostic skills
Qualifications & Skills
High school diploma or equivalent
BLS Certification
TN State X-Ray License
ARRT Certification preferred
Experience as a Medical Assistant is advantageous
Additional Duties
Ensure patient safety, operate radiology equipment properly, and support clinical and administrative tasks as needed.
