Job description

About the Role

Uber is looking for a Recognition Specialist to support the execution and operational excellence of our Rewards and Recognition (R&R) programs across APAC Community Operations (CX) and Centers of Excellence (COE) teams. This role is instrumental in celebrating our people, fostering a culture of appreciation, and ensuring recognition programs are well-utilized, impactful, and aligned with both global and regional strategies.

Sitting within the APAC COE Communications, Engagement, and Recognition (CER) team, this role focuses on program implementation, reporting, and process improvement, rather than high-level strategy development. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about creating a culture where employees feel valued and recognized for their contributions.

If you’re energized by enabling meaningful recognition experiences, thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional environments, and enjoy turning data into insights, this is the role for you!

Monitor and report on recognition program utilization, compliance, budget tracking, and impact through dashboards and regular reporting.

Identify trends and analyze recognition data to recommend improvements, address gaps, and increase program adoption and visibility.

Ensure operational compliance by tracking eligibility, budget limits, vendor usage, and maintaining accurate documentation across all programs.

Support awareness and communication efforts by creating content, toolkits, and program updates that promote recognition programs across communication channels.

Manage logistics for program fulfillment including rewards disbursement, swag distribution, and vendor coordination across different countries in APAC.

Partner with site-based Employee Experience teams to support site-specific recognition needs and ensure local alignment with regional and global initiatives.

2+ years of experience in employee recognition, employee engagement, internal communications, or HR operations in a fast-paced or service-oriented environment.

Strong project coordination and stakeholder management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities across countries and teams.

Solid analytical skills and experience using spreadsheets, dashboards, or tracking tools to report outcomes and uncover insights.

Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms) and comfortable using tools like Slack and Confluence.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a professional yet engaging tone.

Proven ability to execute with attention to detail, meet deadlines, and deliver high-quality outcomes under limited supervision.

Comfortable working in a regional capacity with multiple time zones and cultural contexts

Experience working in a COE, BPO, or regional shared services environment.

Familiarity with global or regional recognition/rewards tools, budgeting workflows, or employee experience platforms.

Basic design and content creation skills using tools like Canva or Photoshop to create engaging recognition materials.

Previous experience with rewards platforms, swag fulfillment, or employee gifting programs.

Exposure to global HR programs or employee experience strategies is a plus
