Job description
Youth Caregiver
The Children's Home Network (CHN) provides specialized residential group home programs for children and youth in foster care designed to provide stable placement options with onsite mental health interventions. Within these programs, Youth Caregivers provide supervision, daily care, and positive relationships to support the healing process by:
serving as a positive influence through healthy relationship.
planning and supervising recreational activities;
teaching life skills;
managing daily routines;
providing trauma-informed care;
providing supervision and monitoring through positive engagement;
ensuring the safety and cleanliness of the cottage environment; and
transporting children to and from activities and other appointments.
Pay and benefits include starting base pay of $18.00-$19.00 per hour, night shift supplemental pay of $1.00 per hour, overtime opportunities, fulltime and PRN/reserve pool opportunities, day and overnight shift opportunities, health, dental, and life insurance options (fulltime), 401(k) retirement plan (fulltime), paid time off & holidays pay (fulltime).
Hiring for two locations:
Memorial Campus (10909 Memorial Hwy, Tampa, FL 33615)
Heartland Campus (3350 State Road 60 East, Bartow, FL 33830)
Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma or GED equivalent, one (1) year of experience working with at-risk children and families or in a residential setting, at least 21 years of age, first aid and CPR certified or able to obtain within 30 days of hire (classes available onsite), valid Florida driver's license with no record of criminal driving offense or license suspension, insurable under CHN's current auto insurance policy, and able to pass state and federal criminal background, sexual offender, and child abuse screening.
