1st Shift Boiler & Engine SupervisorPosition at JBS USAPOSITION ANNOUNCEMENTPOSITION: 1st Shift Boiler & Engine SupervisorDEPARTMENT: MaintenanceLOCATION: OttumwaSALARY CLASS: ExemptHOURS: Full Time – Flexible as neededRESPONSIBILITIES:Prioritize work orders and schedule mechanics according to immediacy and necessity of orders.Monitor all production areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machinery.Perform skilled maintenance activities including construction, welding, brazing, soldering, plumbing and hydraulics.Adjust, repair and replace electrical and electronic equipment.Participate in HAZMAT team to ensure preparedness for emergency situations.Promote and encourage safety in all aspects of maintenance.Arrange for completion of required paperwork, such as payroll.Monitors and maintains the refrigeration equipment, production equipment, and boiler systems through routine checks, lubrication of equipment, and repair/replacement of parts as needed.Maintains appropriate records and reports.Complies with all OSHA and company safety standards and policiesComplies with, maintains, and updates PSM policies, procedures, and compliance reviews.Attend meetings as scheduled.QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBe able to work all 3 shifts as neededHeavy lifting requiredAble to work in both hot and cold temperaturesStrong communication and leadership skillsSelf-Motivated/ High Sense of urgencyAble to perform under High Stress situationsWork 40+ hours per week in all areas of the plantPrevious refrigeration/boiler and related experience preferredAbility to monitor and operate all refrigeration and steam/boiler areas to ensure proper functioning of equipment and machineryGood attendance record (Less than 3 points, for internal candidates)Position is not eligible for sponsorship of external candidates.Applications without a resume will be disqualified.JBS offers a full range of benefits including health care, life insurance, and a 401 (K) plan.JBS is an equal opportunity employer.EOE, including disability/vetsOur foundation & our strength is in our valuesDETERMINATION | SIMPLICITY | AVAILABILITY | HUMILITY | SINCERITY | DISCIPLINE | OWNERSHIP
