The New York Institute of Technology's Jonesboro, Arkansas campus is seeking an Administrative Assistant to support the Department of Clinical Medicine. Reporting directly to the Chair of Clinical Medicine, the Administrative Assistant will provide comprehensive administrative support and assist with the day-to-day operations of the department. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsibilities
Greet students, visitors, and guests to the department.
Originates written materials, transcribing dictation.
Schedules and coordinating calendar and special events.
Maintains files and databases.
Keeps inventory of department supplies.
Originates purchases and processing invoices for the department and faculty.
Monitors and assist with department budget.
Assists with projects.
Answers questions, resolve problems as they arise.
Takes meeting minutes
Maintains information for department and/or school.
Processes forms,
Liaison between students and faculty
Assists with Lab attendance.
General administrative duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
High school diploma required plus 2-3 years of administrative/clerical support experience required OR Associates degree or higher preferred plus 1-2 years of administrative/clerical support experience required in a professional office.
Excellent interpersonal skills, good computer skills, and solid administrative/organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and have good judgement.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Strong computer skills with the ability to organize virtual meetings, use of Zoom, Teams.
Ability to quickly learn new systems/software packages.
