Job description
Aviation Component Maintenance and RepairPerform maintenance and repair or overhaul on aviation components in accordance with approved technical data and applicable customer and regulatory requirements. FAA Covered positionEssential ResponsibilitiesPerforms repair processes for engine components undergoing repair/overhaul following established guidelines and supervisory guidanceInspect and measure aircraft component dimensions utilizing standard tools to include but not limited to calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges to verify conformance to specifications.Disassemble, assemble, install parts for inspectionOperates power tools and equipment necessary to perform associated tasksWork with engineering to identify failure modes and perform root cause analysisFollow all housekeeping and safety rulesRequired CompetenciesHigh school diploma/GEDMust be authorized to work in the United StatesMechanical ability (use of power tools, hand tools, specialty equipment)Requires the ability to read, write, and speak the English language to interpret and follow written procedures, complete documentation, and follow verbal instructionsBasic math, computer skills, attention to detail; Hand/eye coordination and analytic skillsMust pass drug/alcohol screeningMust meet the following near vision requirements: 20/25 (Snellen) at 16" (42 cm) ± 1" (2.54 cm) or equivalent in at least one eye, natural or corrected and capable of adequately distinguishing and differentiating colors used in the process involvedPhysical Demands / Work EnvironmentThe physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
