Job Description
Respiratory Therapist
We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a high-volume healthcare environment. This role will demand strong integrity and excellent time management skills as you work in various critical care settings, including multiple ICUs, a NICU, and a Burn Unit.
Responsibilities
Administer respiratory therapy treatments and therapies as prescribed by physicians.
Monitor and assess patient responses to respiratory treatments.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care.
Educate patients and families on respiratory procedures and care practices.
Maintain accurate and detailed patient records and documentation.
Qualifications Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credentials required.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications preferred.
Current Mississippi Respiratory Care Professional (RCP) License required.
Minimum of 3 years of acute care experience in a hospital setting.
Work Schedule
Shifts begin at 1845, with early clock-in encouraged, but not before 1838. The position requires working two weekends every month, with the option to work every weekend. Holidays must be covered between 11/22/2026 and 1/5/2027.
