You will be a part of a team that strives to make a positive impact on our company culture as well as on the communities we serve.Job Title: Armed Security GuardPay Rate: $20.00 - $21.00Location: South Gate, CaliforniaAvailable Job Shifts:Saturday: Grave Shift (23:00 - 07:00)FLSA Status: Part-Time, Non-ExemptJob OverviewAbsolute International Security is seeking highly professional security guards responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for clients, employees, visitors, and property. This role requires a customer-service focused demeanor, a neat and tidy appearance, along with the ability to perform regular patrols, monitor access points, respond to incidents, and provide a visible security presence.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as a visible deterrent to prevent rule violations, unsafe behavior, or criminal activityPerform thorough routine armed patrols of the assigned area including maintenance equipment storage yardsMonitor entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and vehiclesControl access points and maintain visitor/vendor logsObserve and report suspicious activities, safety hazards, maintenance concerns, or policy violationsPrepare clear and accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and other required documentationCommunicate effectively over radio, phone, or in person with supervisors, dispatchers, and clientsRespond promptly to alarms, incidents, emergencies, and disturbancesAssist in evacuations and emergency procedures as requiredCoordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders as neededMaintain a clean, neat, and professional appearance at all timesMaintain authorized less-than-lethal equipment in compliance with company standardsProvide outstanding customer service while maintaining a safe and secure environment for allFollow post orders, site protocols, and all relevant company proceduresMinimum QualificationsMust be at least 18 years oldAbility to pass a background check, drug screening, and additional client requirementsStrong verbal communication, customer service, and interpersonal skillsAbility to write clear and accurate reportsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods and perform physical tasks as requiredComfortable working outdoors, including during varied weather conditionsMust have reliable transportationMust be dependable, committed to ethical conduct, and acts with integrityMust maintain a clean, professional appearance and adhere to company grooming and uniform standardsLicense & Certification RequirementsValid California Guard CardValid Government IDValid Driver's LicenseCPR/First Aid/AED CertificationPepper Spray CertificationBaton PermitExposed Firearm LicenseFirearm Dealer Record of Sale (DROS)Additional Preferred SkillsPrior security, military, or law enforcement experienceHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent preferredSecurity Guard Training Certificates preferredDe-escalation and conflict management skillsAdditional Information / BenefitsWeekly PayPremium Shift Pay for Holidays Worked401(k) Retirement PlanHealth / Dental / Vision InsurancePaid Sick LeaveTraining and Career DevelopmentEmployee Assistance ProgramsAdditional benefits, such as Paid Time Off (PTO), vary depending on positionThis position is at-will, and job duties/schedules may be adjusted based on client requirements or operational needs.Absolute International Security is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
