Job Description
As an Armed Security Guard in Ventura, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join a leading team where flexibility meets opportunity. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government location, you will conduct routine vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to situations with professionalism. This driving position offers the opportunity to provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly with visitors and staff, and support a caring, reliable team at Allied Universal.

What You'll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, parking areas, grounds, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; communicate with appropriate personnel and emergency responders as needed.
Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific requirements; document observations, incidents, and unusual activity.
Carry assigned equipment in accordance with applicable laws, Allied Universal policies, and site-specific procedures, and maintain required credentials and training.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Customer service experience is preferred.
A guard card or license is preferred.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
