That's why we created the Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position: a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader.As a Armed Security Officer - W Fuqua St in Houston, TX, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour21+ Years of Age Active Armed Guard Card/License Valid Driver's License 3+ Years' Combined Law Enforcement/Corrections/Military OR 5+ Years Armed Security ExperienceJob Schedule: Day Time Sat 09:00 AM - 04:00 PMHow This Role Works:Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It's all up to you.This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.Responsibilities:Provide customer service to customers, employees, vendors, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a retail grocery location.Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the store, parking areas, receiving areas, and perimeter to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, or policy concerns.Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical events, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and applicable laws.Monitor access points, delivery areas, and customer traffic areas; assist with controlling access and documenting security-related activities as required.Maintain a professional armed presence to help deter theft, trespassing, disorderly conduct, and other unwanted activity while treating all individuals with respect.Minimum Requirements:Possess 3+ years of combined law enforcement, corrections, military, or 5+ years of armed security-related experience.A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas only.An Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.Participate in industry-specific security training programs.Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.Why Join Us:Smart Tools: Access to our exclusive technology to view and claim additional shifts to earn more.Career Growth: Get paid training and access to career growth opportunities.Financial Benefits: Participate in our retirement savings plan to invest in your future.Exclusive Perks: Enjoy discounts on top brands and services through our Perks Program.Allied Universal® is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
