Job description
Assembly OperatorWork in a team environment to assemble automotive parts that meet customers' quality requirements & delivery schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform specific procedures on equipment to ensure safety in cell/line/dept./plantAct to meet Cell, Department and Plant goalsParticipate to define 5S/TPM activities & perform 5S/TPM Audits -if applicablePerform changeover and set up reductions-if applicablePerform error proofing, generate ideas and aid development-if applicableIdentify methods to enhance and share team knowledgeParticipate in team meetingsPromote a teamwork environmentSupport team (active and constructive role)Understand dept. responsibilities and rolesWorks from standardized work instructions and control plansMay rotate stations and linesUnderstand and support Lock out/Tag out principlesPerform daily safety audits-if applicableReport safety issuesWear personal protective equipmentUnderstand and utilize all Cell/Station Quality documentationCalibrate and Master gages and understand gaging qualification requirementVerify and document error proofing per scheduleReport Quality issues promptly and assist in clean point creationKeep station and fixtures/tools clean and organized at all timeResponsible for communicating when there is an issue affecting the Environment, Health, Safety or Quality to his / her respective ManagerRequired Skills and Education:HS diploma/ GEDAbout Dauch:Dauch Corporation is a premier Driveline and Metal Forming supplier serving the global automotive industry with a powertrain-agnostic product portfolio that supports electric, hybrid, and internal combustion vehicles.
