Job description
Part-Time Animal Bather
BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Part-Time Animal Bather to join their Dermatology team!
If you have a passion for animals, are looking to improve your skills and learn more about the veterinary health industry, and would enjoy working in a fast-paced, team environment, we would love to hear from you.
An Animal Bather attends to the basic needs of animals that are patients of the hospital and cleans the hospital facility, equipment, and tools. The role may include assistance with basic patient care such as the safe restraint of patients during treatment.
As a Bather, you will:
Observe patients for obvious signs of health concerns and report any findings to senior staff.
Clean and disinfect areas of the hospital as often as is necessary to maintain high standards of care.
Safely approach and restrain cooperative patients as needed during treatments.
Provide routine attention to patients, including walking dogs.
Effectively clean and maintain hospital equipment and tools.
Quantify patient voids and report findings to senior Veterinary Assistant or Technician.
Remove and wash soiled laundry and keep clean laundry stocked.
Patrol facility regularly to ensure cleanliness.
