Job description
Job Title: Senior Business Process & Tech Architect
Contract Duration: 12+ Months (with Possible Extension)
Department: North Star is an affiliated entity of CMS Energy, supporting North Star Energy Group in Ann Arbor, MI (260 people in total with North Star Energy).
This role involves working with a small team of 10-12 individuals. Information governance is a major concern for the North Star team; the successful candidate will identify the business unit needs related to information governance, determine use cases, and implement robust tool sets around it.
The North Star team engages in significant sharing with clients (4-5 teams with separate use cases). This individual must understand the end-to-end process to facilitate third-party sharing while ensuring security protocols are maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
Help the North Star team close gaps related to process changes, technology changes, and new technology implementations to solve existing problems.
Conduct interviews to understand business problems.
Gather requirements.
Develop solutions without being involved in the implementation work.
Work independently to identify use cases and problem areas, collaborate with partners across organizations, and engage potential vendors for demos.
Act as a product architect and integrate into the company to break down process barriers.
Skills:
4 - 7 years' experience in developing test plans, test cases, and performing user testing and implementation readiness.
A consulting background is preferred, with the ability to develop relationships and work with internal teams.
Coding background is a plus.
Experience with SharePoint and Power BI.
