CA - Overnight Security Officer (DTLA / Skid Row)Position DetailsPosition: Overnight Security OfficerLocation: Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row AreaPay Rate: $18.00 – $21.00 per hour (DOE)Employment Type: Full-TimeUniform: Black tactical pants, black shoes, uniform shirt providedSchedules AvailableMonday – Thursday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AMFriday – Tuesday: 10:00 PM – 6:30 AMTreston Security Services is currently hiring professional, dependable, and experienced Overnight Security Officers for a property located in the Downtown Los Angeles / Skid Row area.This position requires officers who are comfortable working overnight in a high-activity urban environment. Officers will be dealing with transients on a daily basis, conducting hourly patrols, responding to unwanted individuals on the property, and assisting with escorting unauthorized persons off the premises when necessary.This is a hands-on security position that requires strong communication skills, patience, professionalism, and the ability to remain calm under pressure.About Treston Security ServicesTreston Security Services is a Veteran-owned and operated security firm providing professional security solutions throughout California and across the United States. We specialize in residential security, corporate security, special events, nightlife security, executive protection, and high-risk urban environments.Our officers are supported by experienced leadership, field supervision, and real-time reporting systems designed to ensure accountability, safety, and operational excellence.Protect, Comply, Prevent: Your Security is Our Priority.Job ResponsibilitiesConduct hourly patrols on each floor and throughout assigned areasMonitor entrances, exits, stairwells, hallways, parking areas, and common areasMaintain a visible security presence throughout the propertyDeal with transients and unauthorized individuals on a daily basisProfessionally escort unauthorized individuals off the property when requiredAddress loitering, trespassing, and suspicious activityRespond to tenant, staff, and management concernsObserve and report safety hazards, security concerns, and policy violationsComplete Daily Activity Reports (DARs) and incident reports as requiredCommunicate with supervisors, management, and dispatch as neededContact law enforcement or emergency services when necessaryMaintain professionalism while working in a challenging overnight environmentQualificationsValid California Guard Card (Required)Previous security experience preferredExperience working in DTLA, Skid Row, residential, shelter, or high-activity environments is a plusMust be comfortable dealing with transients, trespassers, and individuals experiencing mental health or substance abuse issuesStrong communication and de-escalation skillsAbility to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periodsAbility to work overnight shifts consistentlyMust be reliable, punctual, and able to work independentlyProfessional appearance and demeanorReliable transportation requiredWhat We're Looking ForWe are looking for officers who are alert, professional, and confident working in a challenging urban environment.
