CNC OperatorVolumod (Vol-U-mod) is a multi-family modular construction company located on the Far East Side of Indianapolis, Indiana. Volumod's team of more than 100 skilled professionals builds apartment buildings and other multi-family housing in sections - called modules - within a heated-and-cooled facility. On the factory floor, each home moves through 20 different stations, including framing, electrical, plumbing, flooring, drywall, siding, roofing, and interior finish, with kitchens and bathrooms installed, to produce a home that is 90% complete! The modules are then transported by semi truck, and lifted with a crane to form multifamily communities. Will you join us?Position SummaryVolumod is expanding its cabinet and millwork division on the far east side of Indianapolis, IN, to produce frameless cabinets for our modules. We've invested in brand new CNC equipment and are looking for a dependable CNC Operator to help keep production running smoothly. The successful candidate will be able to read and interpret blueprints, set up and operate CNC machines, adjust machine settings as needed, store and recover programs, and ensure that all products meet quality standards. You must have experience programming and generating cabinets. We are looking for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, has excellent problem-solving skills, and able to work independently with minimal supervision. If you have a strong understanding of CNC machining processes in woodworking environments, we would like to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.Program and nest parts as required.Operate Biesse Rover AS FT machine with assist from vacuum tube lift systemCheck parts for accuracy and quality.Monitor machine operations and adjust as needed.Perform basic maintenance on machines.Perform basic troubleshooting of machine malfunctions.Communicate production issues, material needs, and quality concerns to supervisionMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaMeet daily/weekly production goals and timelinesPhysical RequirementsLift up to 50 lbs regularly (team lift for heavier materials)Stand for extended periods throughout the shiftFrequent bending, reaching, and material handlingWork EnvironmentIndoor manufacturing and woodworking shopExposure to machinery, wood/manufacturing dust, and fabrication materialsPPE required, including safety glasses, hearing protection, and glovesJob Type: Full-timeVolumod offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package designed to support our employees' health, financial well-being, and work-life balance.
