Aerotek is hiring for Carpenter Helper

\uD83D\uDCB2 $20 - $26 per hour

Are you ready to work alongside skilled craftsmen and help transform commercial spaces throughout the Charlotte area? We are seeking a motivated Carpenter Helper who is eager to develop their carpentry skills while contributing to high-quality office and warehouse renovation projects.

What You'll Do

As a Carpenter Helper, you will support commercial renovation and construction projects by assisting with:

Office and warehouse upfit projects from start to finish

Framing with wood and metal studs

Drywall, ceiling, and flooring repairs and installations

Finish carpentry, including trim, crown molding, baseboards, and chair rails

Installation of doors, cabinets, wall fixtures, tile, and safety handrails

Integrating new construction with existing structures

Punch-list completion and final project detailing

Material handling, site preparation, and general construction support

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

Minimum of 1 year of carpentry or construction experience

Ability to read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and building plans

Experience using hand and power tools safely and effectively

Strong math and measurement skills

Understanding of building layout, leveling, and basic construction practices

Ability to work independently and deliver quality workmanship

Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and travel to project sites when needed

Commitment to jobsite safety and OSHA standards

Preferred Experience Commercial carpentry and interior renovations

Finish carpentry and trim installation

Painting and restoration projects

Framing, measuring, and installation work

Drywall finishing and repair

Work Environment

You'll work on active commercial construction sites, assisting with everything from material movement and site preparation to detailed finish carpentry work. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing project needs. Occasional night and weekend work may be required based on project schedules.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Charlotte, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
