Job description
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine or related field
Full-time employed Case Management Physician role
Inpatient setting focused on utilization review and care coordination
156 hours per month; approximately 15-16 shifts
Majority 10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM - 5:00 PM); occasional 12-hour shifts
Round on inpatient census of 15-17 patients; max 22
Average 12 patient encounters per day
Perform admissions from 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
Collaborate with hospitalists, nursing, and case management teams
Support medical necessity reviews and level-of-care determinations
Assist with discharge planning and length-of-stay management
