Job description
A clinical pharmacist opportunity is available for an immediate start in the Portland, OR area. This contract position offers a 13+ week assignment with variable day and afternoon shifts, providing a dynamic work schedule to suit different preferences.
Responsibilities include:
Delivering comprehensive clinical pharmacy services in an inpatient setting.
Utilizing pharmacy IT systems, specifically Cerner and Pyxis, to manage medication dispensing and ensure patient safety.
Collaborating with healthcare teams to optimize medication therapy and support patient care.
Monitoring drug interactions and therapeutic outcomes, ensuring adherence to protocols and standards.
Maintaining accurate and thorough documentation of medication management activities.
Qualifications: Valid Oregon Pharmacist License is required.
Experience in an inpatient clinical pharmacy setting is preferred.
Proficiency in pharmacy software including Cerner and Pyxis is highly desirable.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Schedule: Variable days and afternoon shifts, adaptable to staffing needs.
