CNC MachinistVolt is immediately hiring CNC Machinist for a local leading Manufacturing Company in Poway Ca.As a CNC Machinist you will:Set up and operate manual and CNC machines (lathes and mills)Program and edit CNC machine operations to meet part specsRead and interpret technical drawings and documentationChoose and install appropriate tools, fixtures, and materialsBuild tools, jigs, dies, and molds used in manufacturingMachine precise parts from various materials like metal and plasticInspect parts to ensure they meet required tolerancesUse measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, etc.) for accuracy checksFollow safety and environmental proceduresSuggest ways to reduce cost, waste, and reworkPerform finishing tasks such as deburring and paintingMove and pack parts for further processing or inspectionHelp troubleshoot and repair shop equipment as neededKeep the work area clean and organizedCollaborate with teammates to solve machining or assembly issuesThis is a Full-Time temp-to-hire OpportunityThe ideal candidate will have:Required Skills & Qualifications Requires a high school education or equivalent (GED)Requires a minimum of 3-6 years of machine shop experience, including CNC and conventional machinesUnderstands tool selection, order of machining operations for efficiency, feed rates, etcSkilled at using measurement and inspection equipment to verify parts specifications and dimensions.Proficient knowledge of tooling and efficient machining practices.Strong mechanical aptitude.Meet ITAR US Person requirementsPreferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with ProtoTRAK machines is highly preferredAbility to read, analyze and interpret engineering documentation, technical specifications and manufacturing documentation and drawings.Ability to use shop mathematics, drawings and measuring tools.Understanding of 7S and Lean Manufacturing is a plus.Working knowledge of MS Office programs (Word, Excel and Outlook)Schedule: Monday to Friday 1:30pm-10pm (Train on 1st shift)Pay Rate: $25 /hr plus overtime as needed.*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.Qualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
