Job description

HarveyNash USA has been engaged to find an experienced Commissioning Project/ProgramManager III to support retro commissioning projects across operational datacenters. This role requires 5+ years of experience in commissioning,engineering, installation, startup, or validation of critical electrical andmechanical infrastructure, with strong expertise in power systems, generators,UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, BMS, EPMS, and controls environments.Candidates should have experience overseeing commissioning vendors, reviewingtechnical documentation, validating system performance, coordinating multi-disciplinarytesting activities, and managing multiple projects simultaneously inmission-critical facilities. Strong technical knowledge, stakeholdermanagement, reporting, problem-solving, and the ability to execute infast-paced operational environments are essential.

About the Role

Weare seeking a Project/Program Manager III to serve as a Commissioning (Cx)Owner's Representative supporting retro commissioning activities withinoperational data centers. The ideal candidate will bring strong experience incommissioning electrical and mechanical infrastructure, managing third-partyvendors, reviewing technical documentation, and ensuring successful testing andvalidation of critical systems while minimizing operational impacts.

KeyResponsibilities

Provide testingand validation oversight for electrical, mechanical, and controlsinfrastructure within operational data centers.

Support retrocommissioning activities involving medium and low voltage power systems,generators, UPS, HVAC systems, chilled water systems, BMS, EPMS, pumps,hydronic systems, and testing & balancing activities.

Review as-builtdrawings, equipment submittals, design documentation, sequences ofoperation, and commissioning deliverables.

Managethird-party commissioning vendors performing functional, integrated, andperformance testing activities onsite.

Coordinateproject schedules, testing plans, execution activities, and commissioningmilestones across multiple projects.

Auditcommissioning vendors to ensure compliance with environmental, quality,and safety standards.

Review andvalidate commissioning documentation including test plans, scripts,reports, and system validation records.

Identify andresolve technical issues while proactively addressing schedule risks andoperational constraints.

Provide regularproject updates, progress reports, metrics, and status reporting toleadership.

Contribute tocontinuous improvement initiatives, lessons learned programs, andcommissioning process enhancements.

Top3 Must-Have Skills

Commissioning& Critical Infrastructure Experience – 5+ years ofcommissioning, startup, installation, testing, or validation experiencesupporting electrical, mechanical, or controls systems withinmission-critical environments.

Electrical &Mechanical Systems Expertise – Strong knowledge of power distribution,generators, UPS, HVAC, chilled water systems, pumps, BMS, EPMS, controlssystems, and related critical infrastructure components.

VendorManagement & Technical Documentation – Experiencereviewing design documents, equipment submittals, commissioning testscripts, reports, and coordinating third-party commissioning vendorsthroughout project execution.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering , ora related technical discipline.

Equivalent combination of education and relevant commissioning, engineering, orinfrastructure experience will also be considered.
