Community ReceptionistBarron Center - Cincinnati, OH 45203Salary Range $19.00 Hourly Education Level High School Travel Percentage None Category Entry LevelDescriptionShelter House is a community of residents, staff and volunteers working together to provide basic human services for the men and women of the Greater Cincinnati area who are experiencing homelessness. The Community Receptionist is responsible for being the face of Shelter House which includes greeting guests, handling inquiries, setting meetings and managing various office duties.Essential Job DutiesRelay incoming and interoffice callsGreet all visitors/clients, directing them to the correct offices when necessaryAccept and sign for packagesMaintain an organized and sanitary workspaceRelay all resident messages to the appropriate supervisorCheck sex offender website upon all intakesMaintain sign in sheet for new clients and volunteersProcess financial mailRun reports in VESTA per requestsPost daily activities through Yammer networkManage the queue in VESTAUpdate day calendars for both clients and staffAssist donationsAssist Shelterhouse Management or Executive TeamSort, stamp and distribute mailQualificationsHigh School Diploma is required 1+ Years of related Customer Service 1+ year of receptionist experienceSkills & AbilitiesMust be reliable and punctualMust present a warm, welcoming and professional demeanor with staff, clients and the outside communityMust have strong verbal, written and time management skillsMust have the ability to multi-task and problem solveMust be able to navigate a multi-line phone systemAbility to work in Office 365Must be able to work weekends, nights, holidays and cover for call-offs as needed.Physical Requirements (% of time spent performing requirements)Time sitting – 50% or lessWorking on computer – 100%Answering calls – 100%Lifting items – 5%, must be able to lift 7 lbsConclusion This job description is intended to convey information essential to understanding the scope of the job and the general nature and level of work performed by job holders within this job.
