CompanionWarm Hearth at Home is looking for compassionate and reliable Companion Caregivers to provide comfort, support, and meaningful companionship to our clients in their homes. Our mission is to help individuals maintain independence, dignity, and connection while aging safely at home. Companions do not perform any hands-on personal health care services.If you enjoy helping others and building meaningful relationships, we'd love to welcome you to our team!Location: Blacksburg, Christiansburg, VA and surrounding New River Valley areasPRN, Part-time, and Full-time positions availableRequirements:Preferred educational background is a high school diploma or GED.Experience in caregiving or working with older adults preferredExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsDependable, patient, and compassionate demeanorReliable transportation and valid driver's licenseMust pass background check and drug screeningShifts hiring for:Daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend opportunitiesFlexible scheduling to fit your lifestyleBenefits:Flexible scheduling and local assignmentsSupportive, team-oriented environmentMeaningful work that makes a difference in someone's lifeOpportunities for growth and trainingAccess to our gorgeous, state-of-the-art fitness center and saltwater pool.Responsibilities:Provide companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional supportAssist with errands, grocery shopping, and appointmentsSupport light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparationEncourage client participation in hobbies, walks, and social engagementMaintain open communication with clients, families, and care coordinatorsReport resident's needs and concerns to the nurse managerMust be able to complete physical tasks such as walking and standing for periods of time, reaching, carrying, pushing, and pulling.Compensation:Starting base wage is $15.00 per hour with additional experience scale.
