Overview In this contract IT role, you will implement base technologies using a Java/J2EE stack and enterprise middleware. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Struts and Spring, and work with Oracle/DB2 databases on Unix/Windows environments. Your work will involve WebSphere Application Server and modernization of legacy components, contributing to reliable, scalable software delivery. This position offers hands-on technical impact in a dynamic services-focused environment.
ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement base Java/J2EE components (Core Java, JSP/Servlets)
Enable integration between Struts and Spring frameworks
Work with database systems (Oracle, DB2) and SQL tooling
Operate on Unix/Windows OS and WebSphere Application Server
Utilize version control (PVCS) and IDE (Rational Application Developer)
Familiarity with JMS/MQ messaging and front-end tech (JQuery, Tiles)
Assist with additional good-to-have tools (JCA, SQL Developer, SecureCRT/Putty)
