We are seeking an experiencedn n Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)n n to become part of a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary cardiac critical care team.n

n Position Highlightsn

n n ·n n High-acuity CICU managing:n

n o    Cardiogenic shockn

n o    Advanced heart failuren

n o    Post-myocardial infarction complicationsn

n o    Mechanical circulatory support (ECMO, Impella, IABP, VAD)n

n n ·n n Work alongside nationally recognized cardiologists, intensivists and cardiac surgeonsn

n n ·n n 24/7 Cardiac Intensivist Supportn

n n ·n n Opportunity to participate in education, quality improvement, protocol development, and research initiativesn

n n ·n n No call requirementsn

n Schedulen

n n ·n n Twelve (13 hr) shifts/month; 145 shifts/yearn

n n ·n n Rotating days, nights, and weekends. Nocturnist or Weekender positions consideredn

n n ·n n Inpatient Cardiac ICU settingn

n Responsibilitiesn

n n ·n n Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of critically ill cardiac patientsn

n n ·n n Manage vasoactive infusions, inotropes, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and mechanical circulatory support devicesn

n n ·n n Collaborate with physicians, residents, nursing, pharmacy, rehabilitation, and ancillary services to optimize patient outcomesn

n n ·n n Coordinate care transitions across the continuum of caren

n n ·n n Contribute to evidence-based practice, education, and program developmentn

n Qualificationsn

n Requiredn

n n ·n n Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant programn

n n ·n n Experience as an Advanced Practice Providern

n n ·n n Current North Carolina NP or PA license (or eligibility)n

n n ·n n National certification (AGACNP, ACNP, or NCCPA)n

n n ·n n BLS and ACLS certificationn

n Preferredn

n n ·n n 2+ years of cardiac critical care, CVICU, CICU, or ICU experiencen

n n ·n n Experience with ECMO, Impella, IABP, and advanced hemodynamic managementn
