Our world-class training will prepare you for the job!What is an Enhanced Acuity Technician?The Enhanced Acuity Technician is responsible for performing a variety of duties, such as, natural environment training, skills-based treatment, data collection, and intensive intervention services. The Enhanced Acuity Technician is responsible for providing direct support to individuals who reside at Damar Services. They also assist the treatment team, including the Manager, Supervisor, and Director and other members as designated, in the evaluation of clinical services.What would I be doing?Some duties include client supervision and care, crisis management, promoting appropriate social behaviors, and supporting clients in achieving their maximum potential.Where would I work with clients?For this particular role, you would work on our Richmond campus located at 2000 Wernle Rd Richmond, IN 47374What are the hours?Day shift (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM w/ weekend rotation)Night shift (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM w/ weekend rotation)Here are just a few of the benefits you'll enjoy at Damar:Starting pay: $15.25 an hour! We pay for experience and education!Eligible for the Damar Advantage including discounts at Damar Health Services and Damar PharmacyComprehensive training in verbal intervention and physical management techniquesMedical, Dental, and Vision Insurance optionsUp to $3,000 per year in Tuition AssistanceSave for your retirement with our 401(k) Plan ParticipationTake care of loved ones through our Damar provided Life Insurance and additional voluntary optionsShort-Term and Long-Term Disability Insurance optionsPaid Holidays to spend time with loved onesPaid Time Off (PTO) for rest and renewalRemarkable ways you will be making a difference:• Demonstrates confidence when making decisions in the moment regarding Skills Based Treatment• Completes and updates mandatory training and other licensure related items in a timely manner• Attends mandatory staff meeting and other meetings as assigned• Attends meetings, conferences, and workshops as recommended by the Enhanced Acuity leadership team• Provides direct services to children• Provides support to clients in completing programming goals, ADLs and independent living goals• Operates Damar vehicles and/or personal vehicles to transport clients or perform other work-related duties• Completes incident reports, including reporting any suspected exploitation, abuse, or neglect of a client• Serves as a member of Damar Services' interdisciplinary teamWhat you need to be considered:Be at least 21 to work in our Children's Residential programBe able to provide formal proof of a high school diploma or GEDValid Indiana driver's license and driving record that meets eligibility requirements of Damar's insurance carrier (for all positions requiring driving)Be clear of any felony convictions, substantiated charges of neglect or other disqualifying criminal convictionsSuccessfully complete a pre-employment drug screen and physicalFavorably meet and maintain Damar's background screeningEssential Job FunctionsThe essential functions of this position require the physical ability and mobility needed to perform the job. This includes the ability to stand or sit for prolonged periods; occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; lift, carry, push, and/or pull up to 50 lbs.; operate office equipment, including a computer keyboard; travel to other locations using private or commercial transportation; and communicate effectively to exchange information.The position also requires the ability to recognize and respond appropriately to client behaviors, staff instructions, safety concerns, and emergencies in an environment where individuals may display aggressive, self-injurious, sexually maladaptive, elopement, or other unpredictable behaviors.Regular and acceptable attendance, excluding approved absences and periods of leave, is also an essential function of the position.Each essential function must be performed satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation.Damar is committed to providing an accessible and inclusive experience for all applicants.
