About the Role:
The Dish Washer/Porter plays a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organization within a retail trade environment, ensuring that all dishware, utensils, and kitchen equipment are thoroughly cleaned and sanitized. This position supports the overall operational efficiency by managing waste disposal, restocking supplies, and assisting with general maintenance tasks. The role requires a strong commitment to hygiene standards and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting. By keeping the kitchen and dining areas clean and orderly, the Dish Washer/Porter contributes directly to a positive customer experience and smooth daily operations. Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physically demanding tasks.
Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation standards.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in a dishwashing or porter role within a retail or food service environment.
Familiarity with commercial kitchen equipment and cleaning chemicals.
Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices.
Responsibilities: Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment using commercial dishwashing machines and manual cleaning methods.
Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, dishwashing area, and dining spaces by sweeping, mopping, and wiping surfaces regularly.
Dispose of trash and recyclables properly and ensure waste areas are clean and organized.
Restock kitchen supplies such as clean dishes, utensils, and cleaning materials to ensure smooth workflow.
Assist with unloading deliveries and organizing storage areas to maintain an efficient and safe work environment.
