Job description

DPT / Licensed Physical Therapist

Imagine a place where your daily efforts not only heal bodies but also restore confidence, independence, and hope. As a DPT / Licensed Physical Therapist, you have the remarkable opportunity to help others reclaim essential functions, whether it's restoring their ability to walk after surgery or helping them find their voice again post-illness. Now, envision doing this invaluable work amidst the vibrant, thriving culture of Durham, North Carolina — a city that offers a seamless blend of professional fulfillment and an invigorating lifestyle. We are on the lookout for an empathetic and skilled DPT to join our dedicated team in the heart of this dynamic region. In Durham, you will find clinical excellence complemented by a community that inspires, nurtures, and embraces growth. If you're ready to make a significant and lasting impact on the lives around you, this is your opportunity to shine. As a trusted member of our clinical team, your daily responsibilities will include evaluating patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, crafting personalized treatment plans tailored to their unique needs. You will administer physical therapy interventions that emphasize improved mobility, strength, balance, and functional recovery. Collaboration is key, so you will work alongside nurses, physicians, case managers, and other rehabilitation professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes. In your role, you will also take on the responsibility of educating patients and their families on therapeutic goals, discharge planning, and home exercises. Accurate documentation of evaluations, treatments, and progress is vital, ensuring compliance with facility and regulatory guidelines. Furthermore, you will engage in care team rounds and interdisciplinary conferences, ensuring that every aspect of coordinated care is addressed for your patients' benefits. To qualify, you'll need a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or an equivalent degree from an accredited institution. A valid state license as a physical therapist is essential, and while CPR certification is preferred, specialized certifications in fields such as neurology or geriatrics can be advantageous. Ideal candidates will possess strong communication and teamwork skills, as well as experience dealing with patients facing complex medical and mobility challenges. Proficiency with digital charting and clinical documentation systems is also expected to facilitate efficient workflow. In return for your commitment and expertise, we offer a competitive compensation package that includes comprehensive benefits such as health, dental, and vision insurance. You will also have access to continuing education and licensure reimbursement, generous paid time off, and a flexible work schedule. Most importantly, you'll be joining a supportive culture that encourages clinical advancement and personal growth. Picture this: each day is a unique journey, and every patient interaction is meaningful. You will be a guiding force during some of the most vulnerable moments of a patient's recovery, whether supporting an individual as they regain their footing after surgery or patiently coaching someone through the rigorous steps of post-stroke rehabilitation. This role requires not only technical expertise but also emotional presence and dedication. The rewards are profound, as you witness the immediate impact of your care and the life-changing progress of your patients. We are searching for someone who truly embodies our values. You are not just a résumé. You recognize that each movement is an act of healing, that empathy is a potent force, and that progress takes many forms — from a small step to a great leap. Our ideal DPT / Licensed Physical Therapist thrives in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary arena, whether you are kicking off your career or bringing a wealth of experience. If you are passionate about evidence-based care, teamwork, and fostering human connections, we would love to welcome you aboard. Join us and help others move again — and in doing so, nurture your own journey forward. This isn't merely a job; it's a calling where your knowledge aligns with purpose, and your presence creates transformative differences in people's lives. As a DPT / Licensed Physical Therapist in Durham, North Carolina, you will be surrounded by a community of passionate clinicians within a dynamic work culture. We are excited to aid you in advancing your career, enhancing your skill set, and rediscovering the joy of impactful work. Become a part of our team — and a cherished member of a community that invigorates you.
