Job description
GridCon is seeking an experienced General Superintendent with a strong background in drilled foundations for substation and transmission line construction . This is a highly specialized role requiring hands-on experience with deep, flooded, cased, and rock drilling .
The General Superintendent will oversee field operations and crews, ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and to GridCon’s standards for quality, schedule, and cost performance. This individual will also play a key role in developing field leadership and building high-performing crews.
Qualifications:
8+ years of experience planning, scheduling, and managing deep foundation operations.
5+ years of supervisory experience as a Superintendent or similar field leadership role.
Extensive knowledge of foundation drill rigs and drilled shaft construction.
Proven experience with large-diameter and deep shafts, rock drilling, casing, and slurry drilling .
Strong knowledge of concrete pumping, placement, ACI concreting methods, and concrete testing.
Demonstrated commitment to safety , particularly in drilled shaft operations.
Strong leader with a passion for training, mentoring, and developing field teams.
Self-motivated and able to effectively lead operations with minimal supervision.
Strong problem-solving, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to quickly learn and effectively use GridCon's policies, procedures, and software systems.
Willingness and ability to travel to various project locations as required.
