Job Description Job Description Direct Counsel is representing an Am Law 100 firm seeking a Patent Prosecution & Litigation Technical Advisor with a background in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. This position is open to candidates in multiple office locations across the U.S. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside a premier team of intellectual property professionals focused on cutting-edge technologies including 5G/6G wireless communication, embedded systems, and advanced software applications. Ideal Candidate Profile B.S. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science required
Experience in a Law Firm required
Prior experience in intellectual property or patent law preferred
Familiarity with 3GPP wireless communication standards (5G/6G) is a plus, especially for experienced candidates
Exceptional writing and communication skills
Strong academic record and analytical abilities
Team-oriented mindset and an eagerness to learn and contribute
Responsibilities Support patent prosecution and litigation efforts related to electrical and software-based inventions
Assist with patent drafting, research, and technical analysis
Collaborate with attorneys and patent agents on a wide range of client matters
Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends
Compensation Technical Advisor: $80,000 - $105,000
Patent Agent (if registered with USPTO): $99,600 - $145,800
Salary commensurate with location, experience, and qualifications
