Quality Truck Center – Egg Harbor City, NJ
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Pay: $30–$45+ per hour, based on experience and ability
Quality Truck Center is looking for an experienced diesel technician who can diagnose and repair medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks with minimal supervision.
This is not an entry-level position .
We are looking for someone who already has solid hands-on experience working on diesel trucks and is comfortable diagnosing problems—not simply replacing parts.
What We’re Looking For
The right technician should have experience with:
Diesel engine diagnostics and repair
Medium- and heavy-duty commercial trucks
Electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting
Aftertreatment and emissions systems
DEF, DPF and SCR systems
Air brake systems
Cooling systems
Steering and suspension
Hydraulic systems
Preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
Computer-based diagnostic software
Reading fault codes, wiring diagrams and service information
Experience with Cummins engines and Hino trucks is strongly preferred , but technicians with strong commercial truck experience on other makes are encouraged to apply.
This Position Is Best Suited For Someone Who:
Can independently diagnose a truck that comes into the shop with a warning light or drivability complaint
Understands electrical testing beyond simply replacing components
Can determine the cause of a failure and complete the repair correctly
Takes pride in producing quality work
Works efficiently without sacrificing workmanship
Communicates clearly with the service department
Is dependable and shows up ready to work
Wants a long-term position with a stable company
Requirements
Several years of professional diesel technician experience preferred
Commercial truck experience strongly preferred
Strong diagnostic ability
Valid driver's license
Your own basic technician tools
Ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
Certifications are a plus but are not required for the right experienced technician

Compensation & Schedule
Pay: $30–$45+ per hour depending on experience, certifications and diagnostic ability
Schedule:
Monday through Friday
8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Occasional weekends.
