Material Selection: Recommend durable exterior products (such as siding, masonry, stucco, trim, and architectural panels) based on climate, building codes, and budget.
Technical Advising: Consult with contractors, architects, and property owners on product specifications, installation best practices, and performance standards.
Quality Control: Inspect delivered or installed exterior materials on-site to verify compliance with engineering plans and safety regulations.
Sourcing & Inventory: Coordinate product availability, logistics, and order fulfillment with suppliers and internal teams.
Trend & Code Monitoring: Keep up to date with regional weather-mitigation requirements, environmental laws, and new exterior product innovations.
Technical Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and source architectural exterior
including impact-rated windows/doors, fiber-cement or composite
cladding, metal/tile roofing, and waterproofing systems, etc.
Vendor Bid Management: Request quotes, compile competitive bid
packages, and negotiate bulk pricing and trade discounts with local and
manufacturers.
Regulatory Compliance: Verify that all sourced exterior components strictly
comply with Florida Building Codes (FBC), particularly Miami-Dade High-Velocity
Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) requirements and wind-borne debris regulations
to the Florida Panhandle.
Take-offs Budget Tracking: Read architectural blueprints and structural plans
to execute precise material take-offs and manage active project budgets. (
Logistics Supply Chain: Track lead times, schedule heavy-freight job site
deliveries, and coordinate directly with general contractors and installation crews
to avoid project bottleneck
