Fab Mechanic - Polish - 2nd Shift (Must be able to train on 1st Shift)Ready to make your next move? This position is responsible for cleaning, deburring, polishing, grit blasting, and/or grinding manufactured parts. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities.2nd shift: Monday - Thursday 3:15PM - 1:45AM / $1.00 Shift Differential / Must be able to train on 1st ShiftJob DescriptionInspects parts for defects and material handling damageScrapes or rubs parts with file, wire brush, or buffing clothMounts tools on revolving spindle for abrasive finishing and deburring.Able to change out tooling such as rubberized abrasives and bench grinder abrasive wheels as neededHolds part against deburring / grinding wheel to deburr tube surfaces or grind weld beads Deburrs or polishes partsOperates Dremel with Scotchbrite or abrasive wheel to polish partsUses Flex-hone (Wire-brush) when indicated on operational instructionsOperates hand held Die-GrinderUses Compressed Air to ensure interior and exterior of parts are blown off after polishingOperate Grit Blast CabinetThe employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.Employee must pass the respirator medical evaluation and respirator fit test prior to performing any duties and on an annual basis thereafter.While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to wear a respirator on average 8 hours a day.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.Consistently, regularly and predictably at work and on timeOther duties may be assigned as neededQualificationsHigh school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Additional InformationWe believe that different perspectives and backgrounds are what make a company flourish.
