Job description
Position OverviewFinishing Operator fills batteries with acid to the proper level, and correctly apply caps on the batteries according to battery type. Formation Operator will perform visual inspections for proper acid levels and cosmetic defects. The Finishing Operator will be committed to performing the role safely and can wear all required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) including a respirator.Responsibilities Level I:On/Off Bear batteries from production lineUnderstand and practice the quality policyUse hand tools and learn specific machine controls, gauges, etc.Work in a lead acid battery manufacturing plantCapable of working in extreme temperatures and heavy environment is a plusStrong team skillsSolve problems and recommend solutionsAll employees must follow strict hygiene rules including mandatory showering and lunch periods on siteLift 50-80 lbs. and stand for long periods of timeRemove caps and perform visual check to ensure that batteries are facing correctly when transmitting through the conveyorCorrectly apply proper vent caps, ensuring a tight seal, and apply labels to batteriesBasic Qualifications:High School Diploma or greater2-3 years' manufacturing/plant experience with a strong and consistent work historyBasic English proficiency to interpret work and apply safety instructionsBasic math proficiency (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division)Must be clean shaven
