Job description
Fintube Machine Operators NeededSend resume to Day and night openings. Pay depends on experience and experience is required. $19-$30/hr.This position involves setting up and operating a McElroy No. 5 finning machine to produce finned tubes for air cooler applications. Job functions include setup, operation, troubleshooting, and maintaining the machine to produce the highest quality L-Foot and Imbedded fintubes to job specifications. The position also requires various operations to be done in the pre and post-production process.Job Duties:Set up and run McElroy Finning machines to manufacture fin tubes.Read/understand prints and information provided in the shop traveler.Determining the correct tooling, fixtures and materials required to run the job.Setup and align machine using hand tools and gages to match drawing requirements.Troubleshoot machine during operation and make in-production adjustments to ensure product quality.Change out the McElroy components required for the tube size, fin height and type.Load/unload tubes. Load coils of fin strip onto payoff feeder.Assist with the inventory of spares and fin strip.Run parts efficiently - to print - with a sense of urgency.Be able to complete the jobs in allotted time frames.Measures and inspect tubes to insure they meet the print and all quality requirements.Load finished tubes on to racks for transporting to other departments.Keep the area, machines and tooling clean and organized.Safety is a major concern. Alertness and safety awareness is required at all times.Job Requirements:Full time. M-Th 10 Hour Shifts with Friday and Saturday as Overtime as needed.Day Shift (6:00 AM – 4:30 PM) Night Shift (5:00 PM – 3:30 AM).High School or Equivalent.Must be physically fit and able to lift 50 lbs. plus stand for extended periods.Hand Tool proficiency – snips, files, pliers, hammers, wrenches etc.Previous Experience: Required.Safety Sensitive Position.Bilingual Preferred (English & Spanish).Benefits Include:Community Care Medical Insurance - Community Care HMO (Employee $60/mo, Family $200/mo).
