Fleet & Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Keep Essential Equipment Running
Are you an experienced mechanic or have completed military occupational training in a related field? We're hiring a Fleet & Heavy Equipment Mechanic for an opening with our client in Masardis, ME. Join a well-established operation where you'll work on a diverse fleet of trucks and heavy equipment essential to daily operations. This position pays $27.00 - $30.00/hour based on experience and is temp-to-hire. This is a hands-on mechanical role offering the opportunity to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of equipment including excavators, loaders, road graders, dump trucks, log trucks, trailers, and fleet vehicles. Typical Daily Duties:
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues on equipment and vehicles
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on fleet trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
Complete and maintain maintenance records using a computerized work order system
What We're Looking For:
• 2-5 years of experience as a Heavy Duty Service Technician, Diesel Mechanic, or Heavy Equipment Mechanic • Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment and fleet vehicles • Trade certification, associate degree, apprenticeship, or military occupational training in a related technical field; Maine State Inspection Technician License preferred
