Job description
Food Assembler (Tamales and Burritos)The job of Assembler is responsible for assembling and preparing food products, primarily tamales and burritos, in accordance with established recipes, portion standards, and production procedures. This position plays a key role in ensuring that all products meet Tucson Foods standards for quality, consistency, and food safety.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssemble and roll tamales, burritos, and related food items with attention to product specificationsOperate on a production line to meet daily manufacturing targets and timelinesAdhere to food safety regulations and sanitation guidelines at all timesMaintain a clean and organized workstation throughout the shiftIdentify and report any issues with ingredients, equipment, or procedures to the Production SupervisorAssist with other production-related tasks as assigned, including packing or prep workQualificationsAbility to perform repetitive tasks with attention to detail and consistencyWillingness to learn and adapt to new processes and procedures.Commitment to quality and safety standards.A positive attitude and willingness to cooperate.Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination for assembling foodsAbility to work in a team environment and communicate effectivelyCapable of following written and verbal instructions, including food handling proceduresPunctual, dependable, and able to work scheduled shiftsPreferredPrevious experience in a food production, food assembly, or other manufacturing environmentsExperience working on a production lineFamiliarity with food production equipment and machineryPhysical RequirementsProlonged standing (stools are available) and repetitive hand movements requiredAbility to lift and carry up to 20 lbs on occasionFrequent reachingAbility to work in variable temperatures (hot, cold, and humid environments)Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a commercial food production facility where adherence to food safety standards is required at all times.
