Join a culture where safety, sustainability, and teamwork come first, with training and benefits that truly care for your well-being.As an experienced Gas Utility Pipe Fuser/Fitter, you will report to a skilled Foreman, installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining underground gas utility systems while ensuring safety, efficiency, and top-quality results. We value teamwork, and as part of the crew you will be expected to assist with general labor as needed to support project success.Construct, install, and maintain piping systems, and equipment for natural gas utilitiesJoin piping by means of fusion, electrofusion, or mechanical coupled jointsVerify specifications by performing quality assurance testsLoad and unload equipment and materials; keep worksite clean and organized free from unnecessary hazardsMaintain all industry required Operator QualificationsPerform other tasks as requested by leadershipHigh School diploma or equivalentValid Driver's License1+ years prior experience pipe fitting/fusing in gas utility industryJoin the Largest Natural Gas Distribution Contractor in the United StatesWeekly PayrollPaid, on-the-job training: natural gas distribution, utility excavation, safetyEmployee Assistance program benefitHealth Insurance Plan benefitRetirement Plan benefitWork sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditionsAll worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in EnglishWork includes prolonged and repeated: lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs); standing; climbing; kneeling; reaching and feeling; crouching and crawlingWork is performed within the "red zone" of heavy equipmentWorking safely requires quick/accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe mannerPass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screensProvide valid US work authorization documents for E-VerifySatisfactory results of pre-employment background check resultsValid driver's license with clean driving recordPre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical cardJoin and maintain Union membershipOur Commitment to Opportunity This job description is subject to change at any time.
