Job Description
Pay:
$19.83/hr
Day Shift Schedule:
Monday-Friday Days
Monday-Thursday:
6:00 AM-6:00 PM and
Friday:
6:00 AM-2:30 PM
Location:
Waterloo, IN
What You’ll Do
As a
General Laborer
, you’ll support daily production and help ensure every product meets Techo-Bloc’s high quality standards. You’ll work alongside machine operators and assist with key processes such as:
Inspect finished product for
height, shape, color, and consistency
Perform quality checks and remove defective pieces as needed
Rework/replace blocks to ensure
every pallet is customer-ready
Package finished product by adding:
packaging materials
top sheet
labels
final quality check before going to the yard
Keep all products packaged
neatly, safely, and securely
Assist with production support tasks such as:
pallet repair
general maintenance support
yard support
other assigned tasks to keep production moving
Maintain a clean work area and support plant clean-up
Follow all safety practices including
PPE
and
Lockout/Tagout
procedures
Qualifications

Able to read basic instructions and communicate clearly
Reliable and
on time
for scheduled shifts
Comfortable working
independently and with a team
Basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
Strong attention to detail and good common sense
Able to multitask and problem-solve on the floor
Comfortable operating basic machinery/support equipment (training provided)
Preferred
High School Diploma or GED
1+ year manufacturing experience

Employee must be able to identify color blends, variances, non-conforming color blends with up to three different colors on each product. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to remain stationary or move throughout the workstations; also includes the ability to ascend and descend steps and ladders; and position self in tight spaces. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk or hear.
