Port San Antonio Grounds MaintenanceMaintains grounds for Port San Antonio property.Outdoor work, walking, standing, sitting, hearing, bending, crouching. Employee may be subject to moderate noise, extreme temperatures and hazardous conditions. Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally with or without accommodation, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Job FunctionMows lawns, trims and edges around walks, flower beds and walls and installs sod.Waters and prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches or twigsSprays lawn, shrubs and trees with fertilizer, herbicides and insecticidesCleans grounds, removes litter and rakes leaves.Spreads salt on public passage ways to prevent ice buildup during freezing weatherPlants flowers, trees and shrubs.Repairs and paints fences, gates, walls, walks and outbuildings when covered with graffiti.Removes debris from drainage ditches and culverts.Uses machinery such as bobcats, backhoes, shovels, mowers, edgers, ladders, fertilizer spreaders and lawn rollers.Makes minor repairs on equipment and sharpens tools.Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsEducationHigh School diploma or equivalentExperience0-6 months experience in grounds keeping or related field.License and CertificationMust have valid Texas Driver licenseTestingMust pass criminal background checkMust pass drug test
